Q: Who or what inspired you to start your business?
A: My business is inspired by my late mother, Laverne Louise Clark, who was born in 1957 and passed away just four months before her 57th birthday. She battled mental illness throughout her teen and adult life, and I created Louisa57 in her honor. It’s my way of turning pain into purpose and continuing her legacy through service.

Q: What would you like to share with anyone who is thinking about going into this field?
A: The coaching industry is vast and growing. What I’ve learned is that studying and honing your skills is crucial. Learn about mental development, business, and people—especially within your niche. Don't compare your journey to anyone else’s. Every business has its pivots and divots. Stay committed to the process, and surround yourself with fellow entrepreneurs who understand the ups and downs.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge, and how did you overcome it?
A: Managing my personal finances while investing in my business has been my greatest challenge. Being a solopreneur requires balance, budgeting, and sometimes sacrifice. I took on a part-time job to ease the financial pressure while still working toward becoming a full-time business owner. I stay focused by reminding myself that my business goal is worth every adjustment.

Q: What advice do you have for women going through challenges?
A: Women need support. Create a solid system—whether that’s a coach, therapist, mentor, or peer group. Challenges will come, but having people around you to offer perspective and solutions makes all the difference. Don’t go it alone.

Q: What are you most proud of?
A: I’m proud of the fact that I’m still here—still pushing, still building, even after a difficult year filled with personal struggles. With personal development, support, and a few necessary breaks, I’ve continued to grow my business. That resilience is something I truly celebrate.

Q: What is your take on woman-to-woman inspiration?
A: There’s a special energy that flows from one woman to another—synergy. It fuels inspiration, strength, and sometimes healing. Every woman needs at least one other woman to encourage her through the long, challenging journey of building something meaningful. I fully support women uplifting other women.
