1. Who or what inspired you to start your business?
The mysteries of student loan repayment are frustrating unless you've experienced the perpetual loop of “no one knows what’s going on.” Starting in September 2022, I spent weeks calling my loan servicer during lunch breaks, only to be told to contact a different servicer or the U.S. Department of Education because no one knew who should handle my loans or how much my payments were. After nearly a year of confusion and setbacks, I finally received loan forgiveness in summer 2023. That experience inspired me to support others through similar struggles, leading to the creation of my business.
2. What would you like to share with anyone who is thinking about going into this field?
Becoming a student loan advisor allows you to make a meaningful impact by helping millions of people navigate the complexities of student loan repayment. You'll provide essential guidance and support, reducing stress and financial burdens for borrowers. This role also offers personal growth, as you'll continuously learn and develop leadership skills. The satisfaction of making a difference, coupled with the potential for a lucrative career, makes it a rewarding and fulfilling path. With increasing demand for knowledgeable advisors, you can build a successful business while helping others achieve financial stability and peace of mind.
3. What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Life has taught me that there are going to be naysayers in everything and anything I want to do. BUT I can do anything. All it takes is a made-up mind and a willingness to do the work. I believe in ME and I know what I’m capable of.
4. What advice do you have for women going through challenges?
First Pray and then work on healing any traumatic experience you had.
5. If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be?
Not learning to set clear boundaries sooner.
6. What is your take on woman to woman inspiration? Meaning women inspiring other women.
Collaboration over competition. There is room for us all.
