It took me a long time before I understood this saying, “Your words become your reality”. Like me, you probably found it silly the first time you heard it. But the fact remains that you are where you are today, partly because of what you are saying about yourself.
There was a time in my life, when I spoke every negative in my life. “I’m depressed. I will never get out of debt. I’m broke. I’m so miserable.” Wow. Yep. Once upon a time that was me. There’s a lot more but think I’ll stop there. Back then I didn’t know the power of my words. I didn’t realize the more I spoke like this, the more I was cursing my own life.
You see my friends, in the beginning was the word. The word is God. God is powerful. We were made in his likeness. Therefore we are powerful and so are our words. I even made a video a few years ago, to share what I learn about the power of my words. You can view the video here CLICK HERE .
As soon as I learned this, I began to use my words differently. And sure enough, my life began move in the direction of my words. I no longer felt miserable and depressed. I now felt happy. In fact I felt extraordinary. It was as though my eyes and mind opened up to all the things I was blind to before. I now saw opportunities and blessings everywhere.
How To Change Your Words
Keep in mind, if you have a poor mouth you are going to have a poor life. What this means is, you cannot speak lack and expect to have abundance. Likewise you cannot speak defeat and expect to have victory. Instead use your words to plant a seed in your life by describing what you want. Don’t speak what is, speak what you want it to be. Why? Because what you sow, is what you reap.
It will take some time for you to get the hang of this. But like me, if you do it often enough, it will become a part of you. You too will change your life by changing your words.
