Meet Angela Dorsey
Angela Dorsey, a proud native of Augusta, Georgia, has dedicated over three decades to public service, mentorship, and youth empowerment. A graduate of Savannah State University and Columbus State University, Angela recently retired after 31 years as a Program Manager with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office—leaving behind a legacy of integrity, leadership, and compassion.
In Savannah, her heart for service beats strongest in the lives of children. As a long-standing member of Overcoming by Faith Ministries, Angela has spent 40 years teaching Children’s Church and uplifting the next generation. She is also a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she actively contributes to the Scholarship, Nominating, and Social Action Committees.
Angela currently serves as the Executive Director of the Summer Bonanza Partnership, a mentoring program founded by retired Chatham County Commissioner Dr. Priscilla D. Thomas. Her role in shaping young lives is matched only by the pride she holds as a mother to her daughter, Ariuna Dorsey.
Angela Dorsey was proudly honoured at the Woman To Woman Conference & Awards 2025, celebrating her tireless commitment to empowering youth and serving her community with excellence.
